Lithops, or living stones, are small succulents that mimic pebbles to survive in harsh, dry environments.

They store water in their thick paired leaves, so watering should be minimal – only when the plant starts to wrinkle, and almost none in winter. Always let the soil dry out completely. Bright light is essential, with plenty of sun to keep them compact and healthy.

Each plant is made up of a pair of leaves (often called “heads”), and yours comes with two, meaning you’ve got a nice little cluster already started. Over time, they’ll split and form new heads, slowly multiplying.
