The Garden

Stunned is the expression on most peoples face as they enter the garden display at Cactus Country. Visitors are amazed that such an incredible display exists in the middle of an irrigation farming community. Once you’re out amongst the plants you really do feel like you’re in another country. There are approximately 4,000 different species from North America and Mexico, South America and Africa and are displayed in colored number trails in their countries of origin. Find out how these amazing plants have adapted to the harsh desert environments they live in; discover how you could survive if you were to get stranded in a desert and lots more on the educational self-guided tour. We hope you will have a greater understanding and respect for these desert plants from your visit to Cactus Country and will consider their value in the drought tolerant garden.
